Forged rivetless chain is the most often used on trolley conveyors. High strength-to-weight ratio, capability to flex both horizontally and vertically, and ability to be assembled without tools and remain assembled in service, all contribute to make this type of chain the logical choice for long service with minimum maintenance cost.
All rivetless chain parts are drop forged from high-strength steel, precision forged and finished. All chain parts are hardened to increase resistance to wear, corrosion, abrasive action and shock loads.
Caterpillar drive chain is roller chain (typically drop-forged rivetless) with rounded teeth called "dogs" that are in line with the run of overhead conveyors. Caterpillar drive chain is essential in driving drop forged chain conveyors. They are high fatigue life and are designed to perform smoothly with forged rivetless chains.
The plates are through heat treated, shot blasted to improve fatigue life and working loads. The through hardened pins ,shot peened, micro grounded, provides maximum pin to bushing surface contact for extended wear and protection from any unpredictable overload.
The forged drive dog is well hardened for strength and durability. designed for rugged use, long life, and low maintenance, complete with "Pusher Dogs" for 3" - 4" - 6" chain pitch.
X228 —— is a very small rivetless forged chain used on trolley conveyor. They are made of only three component parts, the center link, side link and connecting pin. The chain parts can be coated by Zinc-plating with different color.
